Do I have to be fit to work with a trainer?

No, your trainer will work with you to design a program tailored to your current fitness level. A thorough fitness assessment will be conducted before your workouts begin. This will highlight your strong and weak points, making sure your exercise routine is an individual one.

Will my trainer exercise with me?

Not unless you need and want them to. The workouts are designed to focus on you and your needs. However, if you would like, your trainer can accompany you on a run, a bike ride or a hike.

My goal is not to bulk-up, do I still have to lift heavy weights?

Every program is designed with you in mind. Your trainer will work with you to help you figure out what your specific needs are.

Can I bring a friend to train with me?

Pulse Fitness does offer partner and group training sessions. Please refer to our price list on the front page for more information about these options.

How often do I have to see the trainer?

That will depend on your goals. We do recommend seeing your trainer a minimum of once per week, and up to 4 times per week if you want to make serious progress.

How long is each session?

Sessions are up to 55 minutes each. If you have been working with your trainer for a while, you can inquire about 30 minute sessions.

How do I get started?

Contact us for a complimentary consultation. This will give you a chance to meet your trainer and discuss your goals. The consultation takes 30-60 minutes. You will then return for your first session, which will consist of a fitness assessment. This assessment will help your trainer tailor a program to your specific needs.
